Summer Season Skincare Guide

As we move from Spring into Summer, here are some simple changes you can make to your skincare rituals that will keep your skin nourished and glowing.

Our favourites for you to keep on hand for sunnier times are L'eau Botanique Rose Petal Facial Tonic, for a delicate mist throughout the day to refresh and cool your skin, and Medea Body Oil, infused with lavender blossom, passionflower & sweet melissa, which is soothing to our entire body. You can apply directly to the skin with a loving touch or add 1-3 droppers into the bath for a heavenly aroma.

Regular Exfoliation
A weekly exfoliation helps to remove dead skin cells and daily dirt from your skin. We recommend one our clay masks with a drop of cleansing oil to create your own gentle exfoliator. You can also use a soft facial dry brush, which is great to take a way with you and use after a day at the beach.

Use a Nourishing Serum at Night
Night serums are a great way to replenish your skin with the moisturisation it needs after a long day in the sun. Apply Moonlight Gardens Facial Serum 30 mins before you go to bed to allow the serum to set before you find your pillow..

Hydration from the Inside Out
This skincare tip is as old as time. Drink plenty of water, you can add in hydrating herbs such as cleavers or oatstraw to give yourself a nourishing boost, and make your beverages taste delicious! Make an overnight cold infusion to carry in your tote bag.

Sun Protection
During these warmer days, we recommend nourishing your skin with a little extra love to keep your skin hydrated and supple, plus wearing a daily SPF to protect your skin. We recommend natural occurring sun protection already found in oils of jojoba, raspberry seed, carrot seed for facial care and coconut oil for body care. A summer skin care tip is to apply Flora Breast and Body Oil as a face oil before sun exposure and remember to wear a sun hat and don’t stay out longer than your skin can tolerate.
